This tape is a recorded interview of Mark, the Founder. He was interviewed by Allyson Smith, freelance writer for WorldNetDaily.com, an online news service for conservatives. She was preparing an article for their print magazine, Whistleblower. The subsequent article was published in the August, 2003 issue, and the "polygamy" segment of that article has been posted to the TruthBearer.org web-site, here. Allyson Smith: (From the website) I see you want to make a Christian case for polygamy, and I see that some of the arguments seem to be favorable, like y'know, myself, as a single woman, I'd like to have a husband too.
Mark, the Founder: Right. Yep. Well, actually we do have the political ability to even obtain feminist support.
(After Mark, the Founder explained how polygamy can help abandoned single moms who are like hamsters-in-a-wheel working only to pay for daycare-by-strangers...)
Allyson Smith: For women to break the cycle of poverty, then.
Mark, the Founder: As one example, yes. Absolutely. Exactly. So it's an option.
Allyson Smith: This is all very interesting. I mean, y'know, I never really had investigated this until this week, and it's all very interesting.
After pointing out two other even-more-important doctrinal issues for Christians above marriage doctrine...
Mark, the Founder: From a Christian standpoint, just as you wouldn't need government to 'protect' preaching the gospel for licensing, or licensing the Lord's Table, you don't need government licensing such an important doctrine as marriage.
After explaining how most interviewers find themselves positively surprised once they interview Mark, the Founder about Christian Polygamy...
Mark, the Founder: (Most people are) expecting, "Polygamy! Oh boy! What's this going to be about?" Y'know. [[Chuckle.]] And the next thing you know, you're talking to a die-hard constitutionalist conservative making valid arguments.
